OUR HISTORY

How DREAM Came About

Born from the vision of Dr. Francis Xavier Dimalanta, A Child’s D.R.E.A.M. Foundation  is Baguio’s first pediatric therapy center for exceptional needs children. Located in an area underserved by health services for atypical development, the D.R.E.A.M. Foundation aims to reverse this dynamic by providing the highest quality holistic care. Through comprehensive assessments and customized programs, the Foundation strives to empower every child to achieve his or her full potential.

We are located in Baguio City, Philippines, the birthplace of founder Dr. Francis Xavier Dimalanta. Through his dedication to the Foundation, Dr. Francis Xavier Dimalanta continues a family legacy of service to his hometown of Baguio.

Dr. Dimalanta is the son of Baguio’s first Papal Awardee, business, civic and social leader Johnnie M. Dimalanta and Dr. Irene Dimalanta, a pediatrician in Baguio for 64 years. In recognition of the contribution of the entire family to the positive development of Baguio City, the Dimalanta family was named as one of the historic “Builders of Baguio.” The service and leadership of the 100 individuals and 84 families honored as “Builders” significantly shaped the city since its incorporation in 1909. A Child’s D.R.E.A.M. Foundation is a modern reflection of the Dimalanta Family’s historic commitment to the growth and success of the Baguio City community.
